What a well thought out response. Post bait, get flamed. I will calm down, but you are definitely wrong in your comments on Clinton. No one person can be blamed for anything that happened on 9/11. Although there are 19 people who can be as a group.

The idea that Clinton was responsible for Osama bin Laden is just the latest in ridiculous right wing conspiracy theories. The kind of nonsense that makes them start remarking about tin foil hats when the shoe is on the other foot. More re-writing history from people who can't escape history.

Reagan/Bush funded bin Laden. The current nincompoop Bush ignored the departing Clinton administration's repeated warnings that terrorists like bin Laden were the most critical threat to U.S. security. But let them have their fantasies. Everything is Clinton's fault although, in reality, the entire nation began falling apart the moment this idiot they worship stepped into the White House on January 20, 2001.

He wanted to put an end to the cold war, dismantle the CIA, take control of the creation of money away from the banks, destroy the mafia,...
Had he not been killed, he would very clearly have been the greatest president of the 20th century.

I believe you must be referring to the infamous EO 11110 as you are claiming that JFK was supposedly going to take the money creating powers from the banks.

Other than the greats: Founders, Lincoln, my favorite is Teddy Roosevelt.

This man was not helped to greatness by serving during a time of crises, like FDR or Lincoln. (Not to diminish them in any way.)

TR was a great President because he made decisive decisions about a number of different things that made this country so much better:

Panama canal, brought the hammer down on the industrialists, national park preservation for posterity, Food and Drug act, etc...

This guy is a model President IMO, only, most Presidents aren't bright enough to make those types of decisions and have them turn out so well.

Teddy FTW

Considering your stances on every subject that's brought up in these forums, I fail to see HOW your favorite President could be Teddy Roosevelt. You share zero political and personal traits with the man.

Example?

Ok, and he also is the reason 9/11 happened and why we are dealing with the Islamic radicals. We should have taken out Afghanistan long before 9/11 happened. And what did Clinton did about the USS Cole incident?

I like Clinton but lets not overlook his catastrophic mistakes.

Clinton didn't make CATASTROPHIC mistakes. He made mistakes, but nothing on the level you accuse him of. What did you want him to do over the Cole incident? Sent 160,000 troops into a country that had nothing to do with it?

Look idiot, you can't just outright attack a country for what a terrorist who lived there did. The government didn't do it, some lunatic radical did it. Afghanistan had nothing to do with 9/11 except that OBL lived there. Nearly all the hijackers were Saudis (in case your little pea brain doesn't understand that, it means not Afghan). The only president who even had a chance to possibly stop it was Bush, but that memo he got wasn't exactly detailed, so I'm not going to be unreasonable like you and throw it all in his lap.

THINK and maybe READ A BOOK before you post your stupidity.

You're a retard. Get back when your temper cools down, E-thug.

That's precisely what I was thinking about you. E-Fool.

Clinton is responsible for Bin Laden? The Bush family are the ones who are friends with them!

Definately. He was against a strong federal government and strongly opposed to a central bank. He fought tooth and nail against those things that are commonplace today, and the root of what is incredibly wrong with our current system of government.

More recently, I would say Regan. The man took a country that was on it's way to the crapper and made it strong again. He reinforced the foundation of this country rather than just making cosmetic touchups. I firmly believe that Regan is the president that paved the road to the internet for us. If all those businesses did not have so much extra money laying around to spend on frivolus things (like the internet in the early 90s), it wouldn't have taken off so quickly. I believe that the money that those businesses got from Regan is the money that started the internet frenzy.

Worst: I would say Woodrow Wilson. He institued the Federal Reserve and sold our country to foreigners. Second is Teddy Rosevelt. He turned our country into the socialist welfare state that it is today. I applaud his programs to get us out of the depressions, but some of those measures were originally institued by Hoover and should have been abolished once the nation got back on it's feet again (ie: Welfare, Social Security, Medicare, etc...).

Nothing quite like a President who can balance the budget, create a surplus, and still have time to get head from his intern on the side.

You reinforce my statement from earlier in the thread. Did Clinton balance the budget and create a surplus? NO. Did he have time to get head from an intern on the side? YES.

So, the only valid reason for 'greatest president ever' still seems to be the 'oral sex from an intern' argument.

Jefferson Davis. He was the closest we ever got to a complete split from radical conservatism.

True about Jefferson. I'll have to read his biography next.

BTW, you mean FDR of course, not Teddy

When Clinton began to bomb Afghanistan, he received little to no support for his actions. What did he get? People complaining that he bombs too many countries with little return. Ironically, that also included bombing Iraq, eliminating what was left of his possible WMDs in 1998.

The Cole was also left up to the next administration due to its time, allowing the next administration to get their feet wet, so to speak. Some seem to forget that the Cole was a little over a month before Clinton was out of office.

Wrong Roosevelt. And Reagan (If you praise him so highly, spell his name correctly) was a fiscal train wreck, although not nearly as bad as Bush, but no one really is.

Again, it's amazing how much lies penetrate the mind of the willfully ignorant. Please find me a direct quote from Gore where he said he "invented" the internet.

Okay, except that Bush and his cronies made up that quote. Al Gore reminded people that he was the champion of the bill that helped to expand the military's Arpanet into what is now the internet. He never claimed "I invented the internet"

Clinton, besides the "biggest regret in office" he admitted (not acknowledging the genocide in Rwanda).
