Looking for any style in particular?
I have been on a pretty big Weyerbacher kick lately. Their Quad and Simcoe IPA is easily some of the best stuff I have had, even better than the Trappist ales. Still, the best IPA I have ever had is the Dogfish Head 120 minute, however, because of it's extremely high alcohol content, it can be hard to find in certain areas. (really expensive too.)

Yea I tried that and I liked it. Trying to look for some other Hefe's but everything that is sold around me is big name beer. Hard to find anything obscure.

I've had that on a few occasions; great stuff  I like strong beers too. There are a few 14% brews at the summer beer festival that I always love (the names escape me).

Another one I would highly recommend is Ommegang Three Philosophers Quadrupel.

Last summer at the Stone festival I was able to taste Avery's The Beast, a huge 14.9% Grand Cru. Amazingly tasty, but the 4oz taster was plenty for one sitting. I wish I could find it in San Diego, but I'm sure it would prohibitively expensive even if I did.

While it's not a microbrew, I can't help but feel obliged to toss Yuengling into the ring.. best tasting and smoothest beer I've ever had. Sure, microbrews are great -- God knows I've had my fair share, but I always come back to Yuengling.

While I mostly prefer the Lager, their Black & Tan is excellent as well.

While Yuengling is a good cheap beer at the bar its not a great beer.

Usually at a bar in PA its coors, more sh*t, more sh*t, more sh*t, Yuengling for the same price, and then Blue Moon or a local beer for 2 dollars more.

For the price Yuengling is what you should drink as it tastes 1000x better then coors or anything like it. But lets not kid ourselves its nothing special.

You all need to try a SAM ADAMS...

I just bought the Sam Jackson's, oh sorry Sam Adam's Pack with all the different beers and so far I've tried the Honey Porter and the Scotch Ale. I really didnt like either of them. The Honey was good going down but left a bad aftertaste. The Scotch Ale, I really didnt like at all. Too bitter for me. I thought I would like some of them since I love Hefe

Brooklyn Local 1 is great if you haven't tried it, don't know about availability though. Also Great Lakes Dortmunder, or any Great Lakes brew if you can get your hands on one. Highly recommended, I almost had a job there with them.

I spotted a couple bottles left @ New Beer about a week ago. Haven't had the extra cash in my pocket to try many bombers lately. I've been grabbing alot of those Sly Fox cans they put up in the center display($8.50 buys a pretty thirsty sixer).

Great Lakes needs a new barrel boy? I'm there.

I've never had beer before, but people around here seem to love our local brewery:

Abita Beer

They have a strawberry beer right now since Louisiana produces a lot of strawberries. It might be worth a shot.

While they definitely have their lager style beer down to an art, there is still much room for improvement for some of their other styles. IPA, especially.

That being said, for the price, their Octoberfest and Double Bock is almost untouchable, although I have had some pretty amazing Dopplebocks.

If you're in Texas, next time you buy beer look for Shiner Bock. It's very good. I've seen it as far north as Saint Louis.

My favorite readily available beer.

Of the weird specialty ales, I've had Arrogant Bastard, Dead Guy, Rogue, Yeti, Terrible, and a couple others. I liked all of them, but for casual drinking I go with Shiner.

Shiner is up here in Central Ohio, too. I liked their Boch, but their Hefe left much to be desired. Even our local Columbus Brewing could make a better one. Not to mention that great brewery up on the lake.

Extra cash? That's part of my grocery allowance.

I'll check out those Sly Fox cans...Where is New Beer?

Gosh, do I have to do everything?

I'd just like to take this opportunity to say thank you to ATOT for drinking good beer.

Stone's Ruination (IPA) and Imperial Stout, Dogfish Head's 90 & 120 min. IPA's, 3 Floyd's Darklord & Dreadnaught, Bell's Expedition Stout, Kalamazoo Stout, and Oberon, Old Rasputin, Rogue's Chocolate Stout, Great Lakes Blackout Stout, Edmund Fitzgerald, Alberta Clipper, and Burning River, Redhook's ESB, and Goose Island's IPA & Bourbon County Stout are all fantastic beers. I could probably go on for another hour or so typing up and expanding the list, but if you see any of these, they're definitely worth the try.

I love pale ales and ambers. So I was at the store and noticed a brand called wingwalker. Anybody know if Wingwalker is any good?

Grolsch Lager with the swing top. Been drinking these for years. Now they're advertising, so I expect the volume to got up, and the quality to go down over time. This one must be cold. If it warms a bit, it get's nasty, but while well chilled, is very smooth, great flavor.
I usually drink one or two of these when I am BBQing.

Bud? Bah!

Natural light, believe it or not, is decent. Not a bad deal either. Can usually be bought for about $5.49 a 12pk, where I live.
It's sister beer, which I call buzz beer, is Natural ICE. This one is a full 5.9% alc. It buzzes you fast, if you have not had dinner yet.

Oregon honey beer, although I have not had this one since I lived in Washington, was quite good.

Canadian Beer:

LaBatt Blue
Kokanee
Moosehead
Molson

Working, next day, but just wanna pound some good cold beers?
Coors Light.

A beer with Dinner?

Pyramid Hef. These tend to fill me up, so only one or two.
