I'm one of a few who likes Arrogant Bastard. Also a fan of Mississippi Mud, Tommy Knocker, FatTire or Yeungling (depending on where in the country I am), Guinness (naturally), Blue Moon, Bass, Dos Equis and many other wheats and ambers, stouts, etc. other beers I consider to have flavor (basically anything not pale).

You all need to try a SAM ADAMS...

While they definitely have their lager style beer down to an art, there is still much room for improvement for some of their other styles. IPA, especially.

That being said, for the price, their Octoberfest and Double Bock is almost untouchable, although I have had some pretty amazing Dopplebocks.

The Lager is all you need...

Ayinger Doppelbock
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is always good
Mac and Jacks African Amber and Blackcat Porter
St Peters Cream Stout
Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout

And of course:

PBR (the only sh!t beer that doesn't make me puke)

I'm glad I live by Bottleworks so I've had a chance to try some damn good beers from around the world. I could probably add a few dozen more to this list...

Usually at a bar in PA its coors, more sh*t, more sh*t, more sh*t, Yuengling for the same price, and then Blue Moon or a local beer for 2 dollars more.

For the price Yuengling is what you should drink as it tastes 1000x better then coors or anything like it. But lets not kid ourselves its nothing special.

Well, considering it's brewed in PA I can see where you'd say that. Everywhere else, you're charged import prices for it (if you can even find it).

To rank it with Coors and the like is simply blasphemy.

Charged import prices? I think not. Here in Charlotte, NC area I can get Yuengling for about $ 0.60 a bottle. Yeah, 60 cents a bottle. That is why I love it. Can't find an equal beer in that price range.

I like a lot of dogfish head's stuff... Their Double Simcoe is outstandingly hopy pale ale. And their 120 min and 90 min IPA is outstanding.

While it's not a microbrew, I can't help but feel obliged to toss Yuengling into the ring.. best tasting and smoothest beer I've ever had. Sure, microbrews are great -- God knows I've had my fair share, but I always come back to Yuengling.

While I mostly prefer the Lager, their Black & Tan is excellent as well.

Hailing from the Pottsville, PA area... Yuengs are balls. Back home a case of lager is 11 bucks. an hour or so away it goes to 15... 2 hours it hits 17-18. It doesn't get better. Around the state line and at the beach it is pushing 20. There is no need to pay that much for Yueng lagers... they aren't that good.

Lord Chesterfield Ale by Yueng is pretty good. and if you want the traditional Black and Tan you would do half Porter and half Lord Chesty. That is how my family made them around christmas time... when the drink was hugely popular... Yueng knew of the tradition and started bottling the drink .. it was too pricey and it was better to do your own ...
they went cheaper and tried... half Porter and half Lager... wasn't as good so they changed to half Porter half Premium... Taste pretty decent but it is not the same...

Can't go wrong with the price... black and tan is still pretty tasty. I just love the original... I would def suggest to try the real way at least once... Porter and Chesty are so good together.

Bud Light. Otherwise, MGD.

MGD is pretty good, but afaik it isn't a light beer. Between the Coors and Bud Lights, for some reason I like Coors slightly better.
