I know we have some beer drinkers on this forum. By 'good beer', I'm generally talking about microbrews and regional beers, but if you're a PBR fan feel free to introduce yourself.

I'm kicking off the weekend with one of my favorites: Rogue Shakespeare Stout

Nice... a Rogue man. I am a big fan of a lot of their stuff... you should check out their Integrity Pale Ale. Very, very good stuff.

I'm in the NW. If you guys have a Haggen nearby, they're having a sale on a lot of their large bottled beers; $2/bottle (which is a little over 50% off for Rogue). If the weather holds up, it'll be a good time to go floating.

Do you have access to Capital Brewery's beer around you? If so, try the Wisconsin Amber and the Special Pilsner.

Although it is not a summer beer at all, you may try the Kasteel Bier bruin (=brown). Drink it slowly and not too cold and drink it at home or you could get into some troubles trying to drive your car properly. You can get some cheese cubes on the side (sharp cheddar should do the trick). Cheers

Southern Tier's Unearthly IPA is commonly available in good beer stores in the NE, and is quite excellent.

Almost anything from Bell's Brewery or Great Lakes Brewing Company is pretty much a lock that it's a fairly decent beer.

I discovered Rogue several years ago. I used to drink their St. Rogue Red all the time.

Anyhoo, yes, I agree. The Dead Guy Ale is good. I avoided that beer for years due to its association with deadheads. I dropped my attitude and bought a six pack a few months back and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sh!t man, as long as it isn't a window display or right in front of the cooler, take everything!!! Rogue is about $5 & up for bombers around here. I'm a fan of their Morimoto line, Dead Guy in in Growlers & sixers when I can find it.

As far as craft beer lovers on this site, the ratio is baaaaad. I'm the nicest guy in the world, & I can't get one(ONE!) person to go up to Boston with me. Even got a sweet hotel for a couple nights that I was willing to split, but nada.

I like the beers from Flying Dog Brewery out of Denver. Colorado. Capital Brewery is also good and so is Bells.

You have a strong stomach. Flying Dog is very rough, from the Gonzo to the pale ale, nothing is smooth at all.

Bells' Third Coast Old Ale(10.2ABV) and Bell's Expedition Stout(10.5ABV) are definitely not girlie beers and are good strong beers...love both of them, but damn after one my liver and head is going WTF did you just drink...

Favorite beer is Troegs HopBack but its a local brewed beer so you will be hard pressed to find it outside of PA NY DE and MD.

The guy above with Rogue Dead Guy is probably right...that stuff is not only tasty..it will get you drunk fast.

While it's not a microbrew, I can't help but feel obliged to toss Yuengling into the ring.. best tasting and smoothest beer I've ever had. Sure, microbrews are great -- God knows I've had my fair share, but I always come back to Yuengling.

While I mostly prefer the Lager, their Black & Tan is excellent as well.

I'm not big on stouts. But I do love Bells' Two Hearted Ale. I love IPAs. Another good one is Tyranena Brewing Company's Bitter Woman.
