Who Likes Kimchi?

My wife and I used to hate it. It smells and its too hot/spicy.

Our neighbor made us a whole tupperware of kimchi a month ago. Now I can't have any meat dish without kimchi on the side.

It was pretty good the one time I ate Korean food; I'm not much of a cabbage fan, so I only had a little bit.

i love most variations of it... especially ones that have oyster in it. omg that's the BEST. I love the Radish-based ones too.

i like the cabbage-based and not so much the radish-based.

i also like it when it's still fairly new......the "older" (4 months or older) gets too sour and too pungent.

Anything you have to pickle in the ground is downright gross. Plus it smells like harbor water.

Love the stuff, I prefer the non-seafood cabbage-based varieties. The spicier the better.

Yeah, it really goes well with meat. I prefer the radish and sometimes the non-spicy "mool" kimchi.

Kind of like Asian people complaining about things being too bland. I liked Indian food the first week I had it, but by the 2nd week it all tasted the same. You can't taste the flavor of the original ingredients because its smothered in spices.

i do remember reading about a person bringing some in a tupperware.

the degassing produced from the fermentation of cabbage created pressure during flight that it blew up in his backpack.

can you imagine the stink in the airplane cabin.

Love it, especially the radish only. But I cant have it in the house (wife hates it). I did have some in the house once when I lived in my inlaws guest house. They almost called a pumper truck because they thought their septic tank was backed up, though it was just me making kimchi soup with the window open.
