no liquor in stores within city limits, and outside city limits closes by 9pm
we only just this year allowed wine in grocery stores.
no beer sold after midnight or 1am on saturday in stores, or before noon on sundays

2 or 3am can't remember, but I'm a member of about 3 or 4 24 hour clubs so the drinking never stops.

Huh? When I went to visit a friend 2 years ago bars in Toronto were open past 3am and I was still drinking

For the longest time, last call in pubs in London was 11:00pm. Clubs and performance halls could server later, but not traditional pubs. I think they've loosened this a bit during the last few years.

But, it was cool being in London. Instead of people going home after work and then meeting at the pubs later, they just went directly there. Last call around 10:30 and you're headed home at 11:00pm. Just seemed to make things easier the next morning.

Many bars catering to immigrants usually serve pass 2 AM, but 2 AM is last call in Toronto.

Michigan is 2am for last call. (actually last call is around 1:30am or 1:45am so they can kick everyone out at 2)
However I have been in bars that have illegally kept serving until way past 3am.

related to this.. can't buy alcohol on Sundays until Noon. In Indiana can't buy alcohol on Sundays at all!!! Sux for nursing that hangover or watching football. Just need to plan ahead or drive to Illinois to pick up a keg.... we were drunks.

i met him in a bar in nyc, he wasnt doing a show...but what a chill guy.

Last call is 2 am here. You can't buy alcohol in stores after 12 am (1 am on the weekends).

Edit: Also, you can only buy liquor in at liquor stores which close at 9pm and aren't open on Sunday.

Iowa City (University of Iowa) upped the last call from 1:00 to 2:00.

I grew up in Illinois and most places did it at 4:00 AM.

City I'm moving to (Madison) won't let you buy booze at a gas station or grocery store after 9:00 PM. BAH! :|

Same thing here in Denver. The night life here pretty much ends at 2 am.

Its a mistake if you ask me. Its supposed to be there so people don't get "AS" drunk as they would if they were to drink until, say, 4 am. Now where is the logic in that? In reality, it just means people drink more, especially those that start their night at 12 am. They need to get wasted faster.

It also doesn't give you time to sober up before you go home. Before you know it its 2 am, your too drunk to drive, and oh sh~t you have to leave. For all these reasons, its my belief that these laws which supposedly protect us from drunk drivers, actually increase the number of them on the street.

Thats why I like Vegas. If you need to drive somewhere any way, that isn't in walking distance. Your too drunk to drive? Wait around wherever your at for a few hours. This happened to me at a strip club, it was getting late, I had too much to drink, I had to wait around until 9-10 in the morning to leave, even though I stopped drinking at like 5 or so. Shame having to be stuck in a strip club to sober up.
