Ive been going there since '97 or so. And they still get busy in the Friday/Saturday night drunk rush.

Rack and Roll was still open when I was visiting two weeks ago but I haven't been there in a while. It did seem to be going downhill though and that was a couple of years ago.
When I was in high school, I used to think (probably like most people) that my town sucked and I thought I'd leave and never want to come back. Now, after living in NY for two years, I find that it wasn't that bad at all and that I really miss it, go figure It's amazing how built up it is now though. Every time I come back for a visit there's a new road or development, I can barely remember what it used to look like.

the 24 hour thing at mikes rocks-- BUT the fact that sheetz is open 24 hours and has MTO is even better.

I go to the sheetz in haymarket (where I really live but I spend almost no time there ) and its not as good as Mike's when you are drunk.

you're not too far away from me right now. I go to school up at bridgewater... there is nothing in staunton, except for for mary baldwin college.. which isnt anything but a bunch of lesbians mostly. It takes a while to get used to the smell-- wait until the summer and youre downwind for the chicken farms and stuff.. it gets ripe around here.

has anybody thought of a place to get together yet? we should go bowling- and then maybe have a quick LAN party somewhere (starcraft or Q3..i dont play CS)-- and a cook out or BBQ, maybe at my house -- and then drinks at Mikes

i'm not real big on gaming either-- bowling, well i suck.. but its fun at times-- so...
-- how about just meet somewhere and have a cookout or something (yes, with beer) and then just go out to a bar and get wasted.

my house is about 30 minutes south of DC... Might be a little far for some of the people further north-- but its an idea at least.

There's alot to do in Richmond but that might be too far for the NoVa people..

blueapple - yeah, kramer's is a nice little bookstore/cafe. although most nights it seems more like a pick-up joint than anything else (it's why you were there, right? lol). of course, kramer's will forever be known as the bookstore where monica lewinsky purchased that phone-sex book that she gave to big willy.
