Who makes good KVM switches?

I'm looking for a good-quality (so no Belkin) 4-port PS/2 KVM switch. I'm not interested in the Linksys ones because of the fixed CTRL-CTRL selection method. What other manufacturers make good (i.e., little or no video degredation, not losing mice and keyboard while switching) KVMs?

I'm certain someone else makes it for them but the result is still a great switch.

I use Cybex on a daily basis and they work very well. Excellent video and I have yet to lose mouse or keyboard connection. Not sure of the price though since the company bought them and not me.

Why no Belkin? I've got a OmniView 2 port economy KVM, and it's been excellent. I did have to drop the PS/2 rate from 200Hz to 100Hz, other than that no issues at all. Got mine from Dell, included 2 sets of cables from Belkin with lifetime warraranty. No noticeable video signal degradation

I have the Belkin OmniView SOHO Series 4-Port KVM Switch with Audio PS/2 Platform, and it works fine. I do not notice any image quality loss.

I have a 4-port PS/2 IOgear GCS84A KVM and I highly recommend it. I've been using it for 10 months and it's never had even the slightest glitch. I run 1600x1200 resolution 32-bit color at 85Hz and I notice absolutely NO video degradation even using a 12-foot cable set.

Between all the negative things I've read about Belkin KVMs and my brother's old Belkin KVM which had pretty bad video degredation, I think I'd rather avoid them (unless Belkin wants to give me one for free ).

It looks like the IOGear is the best one for the money (all the reviews I read liked it, too). I do have one question about them that isn't really covered on IOGear's website. What is the practical difference between the Miniview micro, compact, and desktop versions (aside from the obvious size/price differences)? Are the bigger ones "better" in terms of video quality, etc... or is it just features like each port having its own button on the Desktop model while the Compact just has one button that cycles through each port?

I'm using two of those right now, John.
Besides the ctrl-ctrl switch, there is a manual button on the switch itself.
I have had no problems or vid degradation with mine, I've been using it for 7 months straight.
If you are talking about switching between boxes when playing a game that uses ctrl for shooting, you're probably not going to like it much
