I'll take a stab at it. My vote goes to the Soyo SY6BA+100. I actually owned a +IV and it was a very stable and highly overclockable board. I understand the +100 adds onboard RAID and ATA/100.

I've owned an Abit BE-6 II for about a year now, and it's been a great board. It's really really stable and it overclocks well if you've got a video card that can handle an AGP overclock. I'm really happy with it, it keeps my P3-600 humming along nicely.

I vote for the Asus P3b-f, I've run the BE6-2, almost all the soyo boards, The MSI Bxmaster, and a few others, but I always go back to the P3b-f

If you don't want to OC, then I suggest Intel, they're boards are probably the most stable boards I've worked with, well at least with the BX chipset. If you're gonna be running 100Mhz FSB, then I say the SE440BX-2V, otherwise Abit has an i815E slot motherboard.

I know that I am looking at the abit SH6 just for the features and the fact that it is an 815 slot one, however I have heard it is a little buggy when it comes to memory, I figure if my bh6 works with the memory that I have now anything will.

Another vote for the Soyo SYBA+100...550@760MHz at default voltage. I'm not running RAID now though I played with it some...the ATA100 Highpoint controller comes in handy and I've had no issues with my IBM 75GXP's.

Another vote for the Soyo 6BA+IV or +100. I've owned both and had great success with them. No problems with overclocking a PIII-450 to 600 and a PIII-700 to 933.

My Asus P3V4X has been running fine for almost a year now. Using a Pentium 3 FCPGA 600@800@1.75V.

Easy.....

Asus P3B-F (stability champ) or the Soyo 6BA+4/100

Both make great boards

IMHO......

I have a soyo 6ba+iv and +100 and an asus p3v4x and all are great boards. I would suggest the asus if your vid card doesn't oc well and you plan to run above 100 fsb. With a katmai 500 the +iv runs at 620. With a coppermine the +100 runs a 750 at 930. With a coppermine the asus runs a 650 at 910 (140 fsb!!!) All are supremely stable. HTH

I have the SH6, the only problems Ive had were getting rid of the damned useless onboard a/v.

Have an old katmai 500 running 765 (yes thats fsb@153!).

Another vote for the Aopen AX6BC series! Stable all the way up to 152FSB! Had my 500E@760/default voltage running on one of these babies! I probably restarted my machine a couple of times a week when I had it running (full load 24/7).

If you don't plan to overclock, the best quality/value mobo is the Tyan Trinity 400; it takes both socket370 and slot1 processors, and runs rock stable (even overclocked to 150FSB - but this mobo is not exactly an overclocker's dream because of its lack of voltage adjustments). It also will have no problems with any type of DRAM you can throw at it, and all the agp cards I have tried on it worked without a problem VERY STABLE (and much cheaper than the ASUS offerings, which I admit are equally as good if not better but more expensive).
