Who manufactures Dell's laptop memory?

Just purchased some Dell branded PC2-5300 memory for my mac mini off Ebay and was wondering if there was a single memory manufacturer for Dell?

I doubt it.

If they are anything like HP/Compaq/Gateway etc., it'll be whatever they could get cheapest at the time.

Dell usually buys from multiple OEMs. For example I got some Hynix in my lappy, some other people might have Infineon, Samsung, Nanya, etc.

Infineon offers NO warranty on their RAM. Have an HP notebook that came with it, called the company asking about an RMA possibility. No warranty period.

yeah, usually seagate will not honor a seagate drive in a dell notebook.. only dell does..

Mine came from PDP Systems whoever they are. Not exactly sure what chips are in there, but I can assume they are cheap

The notebook is old and out of warranty long ago. I was surprised when I called and a person at Infineon informd me of the no warranty policy.
