at 7 years old you dialed up a BBS? it's possible yes..what were you looking for though?
Speaking of BBSes, does anyone remember the Software Creations BBS? "Home of the Authors", the pre-WWW "home" of EPIC and iD software. My (late) friend knew the founder/owner of S.C., we went to his home one time, there was a Porsche in the driveway. (Guess you could make good money running a decent-size for-pay BBS those days.) Anyways, through a roundabout way, I ended up with the remnants of the dial-in pool, a huge pile of USR external Courier HST 16.8 and 14.4 modems. Was toying with ebay'ing them, but eventually had to dump them when I downsized my "junk pile" of parts. I had a non-paid acct. back in that day on that board too. I think I only used it to download some of the newest Epic games. Access to the pr0n sections required payment.
