Who picked up the Gladiator DVD?

What a great movie! I had seen it in theatres, but I'm glad I own this one. Great DVD too...I love the all the New Releases that are coming out with Anamorphic Widescreen and an extra disc of features! Mmmmm Mmmm Good!

So did anyone pick it up? What about anyone who hadn't seen it already? Thoughts on the movie itself?

I just got it! It has DD/DTS/DTSEX!!!! THATS 6.1 instead of 5.1!!!! HOLY ####! Cant wait to see it!

The opening scene is worth the DVD alone!

sound was great even though I have 2 speakers + subwoofer.

I ordered it Mon nite, hasn't gotten here yet. I have not seen it but have heard it kicks A. 2 disks, must be lots of xtra stuff to see. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer.

I'd like to rent the DVD, but I dont know about buying it. I have not bought a single DVD movie yet.

That's what I thought I was going to do...but there's just some movies out there that I'll watch over and over again. I never bought a VHS movie, and I've had a VCR for more than 15 years. But DVD...if you rent it for $5, then you decide you want it, you've bumped up the price of the purchase to $20. It seems silly to me...if it's a movie I know (or at least think) I'm going to love, I'll buy it. Then if I don't like it, I can usually sell it on Ebay for MORE than I bought it for, and not have to pay shipping.

So if I don't like it, somebody on Ebay will pay me $3-$5 to buy it, open it, watch it, and then sell it to them.

Yeah, I thought when I got my player I'd buy only the "necessary" titles that were either a) blockbusters or b) ones that I really really liked. I did that with VHS, and rented all the others. I've had my player for a little over two years and have only rented maybe eight movies (only two from Blockbuster, the rest from Netflix [when they still were a rental only company]). Now I buy just about any movie that I think I would like if I hadn't seen it, I mean, I bought Baseketball for God's sake!

But it was cool when I would average about $10 on a movie from coupons at Reel.com and Bigstar.com

I have a DTS reciever and it sounds great! I think better than the DD 5.1 track.

And for all of you its DTS-ES (as in extended sound)! not DTSEX! Honestly, who would have a name like that? Its DD-EX (doubly digital surround EX)

You will notice that almost all dreamworks titles have DTS since its basicially spieldbergs sound format.
