i remember my handle xD

i played the AOE trial there for about 1 year straight...soooo incredibly addicted. then i got the real game and played that for about another year straight. every friday nights i would start at 8pm (assuming i finished all my HW) and play nonstop till 6AM. I'd get a good 2-3 games done in that time! some of my BEST multiplayer moments and periods of pure enjoyment were with AOE1

tell me about it. I got up to rank 2100 for a long time in AOE: ROR and hung around with even the best koreans for a while at least... those were the days!

I used to play on MS Gaming Zone all the time. Mostly casual stuff and multiplayer demos. I used Heat for Quake 2. Anyone remember Boys vs Girls CTF?

I griefed a bit in the premium flight sim when I had a free weekend.

Mainly played Outlaws, Jedi Knight, Age of Empires demo, Quake 2 demo and Rainbow 6 1.

I was an XWA (X-Wing Alliance) clan member, we thought it was awesome when the next flight sim Lucas made was called X-Wing Alliance

We always came 2nd in WoW behind the Tie Fighter Alliance (because they had 10x the numbers of anyone else, but their kill ratio was always lower). We preferred quality over quantity I remember getting the best kill/death ratio in a few of the wars! It was a great time for my 12 year-old self

As for the Zone, I also played some TA and chess on there for awhile. And Jedi Knight and JK2 when that came out. Those were some good times.

Edit: And Asheron's Call, my first MMORPG. That was an awesome game for awhile, until people started hitting the level cap (255 I think). By then everything had gone to shit

Heh yeah we did. I was in a small alliance called FRS. I knew a bunch of people in NIR though, they were pretty good. I never did all too well as it seemed like I always had the worst ping out of anyone in the room. The dogfighting 1v1 was pretty lame though, you'd just end up with two guys flying around in loops at 33% thrust trying to get each other.

I played the game X-Wing Alliance a bit on the zone but didn't like it much. I enjoyed it as a single player game though.

I used to play Rogue Spear/Urban Ops ALL the time. I remember being in awe any time I saw a server to connect to that had 4 green bars.

Played some motocross madness and JK2 on there as well.

That reminds me, motocross madness was such an amazingly fun game. No motocross game has ever come close to it. Wonder why?

My 14.4 modem was so great.

I used to play a lot of cribbage on there.

When I left for grad school some friends and I used it as a way to keep in touch. I don't remember my username, but for some reason I remember there was some idiot on top of the cribbage leaderboard who went by the handle "proving a point" and had like a 100-0 record.

I also remember that the AoE section was full of meatheads.
