Not only to I remember, I mockingly sing it all the time.

One of the other networks routinely told kids not to "touch that dial." I thought it was strange because I seemed to be the only kid that had or used one. Heck, even my cable box had a dial and no remote (only went up to channel 38, IIRC).

Yeah, I remember those.

I remember Schoolhouse Rock as well. It was awesome.

i thought they were pointless and stupid then....and apparantly my thought on the matter has not changed seeing it now.

Does anyone remember this phrase: "Its 11 o'clock, parents...do you know where your childeren are?".............if your still lost, its from the early 80's, typically came on just before the 11 o'clock news, considering the parenting of modern days...i think they should bring such reminders back.

I also remember when local TV stations would go out after midnight. back then stations actually shut down for the night and would show colors with a constant beep sound.
god those days sucked.

Wow...

Weird, I remember the visuals so well, but I didn't even remember there being any vocals in the theme music.

Given levels of idiocy present, and given that too many people seem to base their behavior on the "ideal role models" they see on TV, it should say, "It's 11'o'clock. You should know and care where your children are."

Heh...every night, programming ended with a playing of the Star Spangled Banner, then some variation of this:

Did you ever see The Simpsons? Homer's watching TV and it says that. "I Told You Last Night! NO!"

Some of them still do go out after a certain time, often around 3-4am. I know this because I liked watching infomercials as a kid, and some of the channels would just abruptly turn off.
Actually I still like infomercials. I should get my TV reconnected just so I can watch those. Find out about new amazing products like the Dr Ho muscle thingy. That infomercial came on right after Mad TV, but I didn't realize Mad TV had ended, so I thought it was a joke... :whiste:
