Ex-"smoker" since I consider that to be the term for person addicted to cigs and I haven't been addicted for quite awhile. I do smoke on occasion though, usually when I'm out having drinks with friends.

Has anyone noticed how people look at you when you have just a single cig even though they may know you're not really a typical 'smoker'? It's so funny. They could have just eaten a 5 pound burger and a heaping order of fries and not notice the pot calling the kettle black when commenting how unhealthy smoking is...

Being a healthy-weight, healthy-diet smoker is roughly equivalent in terms of cardiovascular risk (or overall mortality, can't remember which) to being an obese person with a crappy diet.

Of course it does. Didn't you know cigarettes were the only poison that affects people the same way regardless of dosage? 1 cigarette, or 600, it's exactly the same ;^)

Well, in that case, the next time I want just one I'll be sure to smoke 2 or 3.

I never smoked.

I ended up living with a smoker for two quarters my freshman year in college (mid-year opening in the dorms). I might as well have smoked that year, because everything I owned, plus my body and hair, smelled like smoke.

When the school year ended, I bought a some new clothes that I put at a friend's place, literally threw out most of my belongings, went to the friend's house, jumped in the pool, took two showers and put on my new clothes.

My body and hair still smelled of smoke for days (weeks?).

F-ing gross.

It is amazing how smokers really do not smell that funk!

Yeah, forgot that little jewel, not only am I an ex-smoker, I am also a freekin' fatass now. Its also harder to lose without that little metabolism boost that smokes give you...at least that my excuse.

Where is the option for pot? I don't personally smoke either but I know enough people do that it should be an option here. I'm much more likely to try pot than cigarettes.
