Who still has a Commodore 64/128?

I still have several working units sitting in the closet from my old high school days (over ten years ago). I keep telling myself I am need to do something with them, but there is too much HISTORY there to simply throw them away.

Oh yeah, and when I went home for Christmas I found out my parents sold the Atari 2600 in a yard sale!!! I was pissed!!! Some butthole is out there EB@ying all my memories away! It had more than two dozen games and we took great care of that system... it was still fun to play. I reminded my parents several times that I wanted to keep it whenever they did not want it in the entertainment center any more.

I guess I need to go buy them arcade classics collections for my PC or DreamCast now.

I still have a Commodore 64 but I don't use it. The monitors from these systems make great little TVs. Just hook them up to a VCR with a pair of RCA cables, use the VCR as the tuner and your good to go. I have my Commodore monitor hooked up to my Playstation right now.

The TV picture on these monitors beat a comparable TV's hands down.

Used to have one, but threw it away as we were cleaning out the house in preperation for a move about 2 years ago. The space bar no longer worked on it.

Static911, A commodore64 and a commodore128 are PCs from back in 80's. They were made by Commodore who went out of business. They also produced the Amiga systems that is now owend by Gateway, but not made anymore.

I envy you Dabuddha... one day, when I have a bigger house, I am going to set up my gEEk R00m, which will include the C64s and C128... I think they would look great sitting next to a tall cool Linux server. My wife wants me to have what she terms a 'geek room' because I have computer equipment strung all over the house because it is too small for our hobbies (less than 1000sq ft). The house before was 1800sq ft and I kept everything down in the finished basement with a dehumidifier. That was the last time those poor Commodores saw power.

A thought just occurred to me... in the last years of C64/C128 popularity, small HDDs with 10-40MB were selling for $1000+ so that C64/C128 users could have the same convenience as PC users. I have plenty of 120MB+ IDE HDDs kicking around so I was wondering... does anyone know of a way that I could connect an old HDD to a C64/C128? I have several old external enclosures to put the HDD in and I would guess I could cannibalize a non-working 1541 drive or something... Anyone got a web link?
