Who to believe?

BIOS: 63C
Speed Fan: 63C
MBM: 39C

What could cause the different readings?
Which should I believe?

Sounds like you have MBM reading your motherboard temp as your cpu temp.

BIOS, the MBM temps sensors are prolly mixed up

The BIOS is always right. If it's a diff of 1 or 2C, that's negligible. But in your case, as Joshsquall said, it sounds like you have the sensors assigned incorrectly in MBM.

63C is pretty high by the way.. you might want to pick up a better HSF and be sure it's seated properly on the CPU.

Yeah, I installed a zalman heat sink after I reseated my old heat sink w/ new thermal paste.
No luck. I think my MOBO is trash. When I first built it, it would crash like mad every time I installed XP SP1. I have been running 2K and living in denial. I ran MBM to verify some strange voltage readings and I found this temp discrepancy. New MOBO and CPU on the way.

its interesting your having that problem. I have the same psu as you with an xp 2500/msi kt600 setup. Not only am i getting temps similar to yours (with a thermaltake alx800) but im also getting random stability issues. It may have to do with the 12v rail on your psu. My antec 350 only puts out 11.6 on the 12v rail.
