I used to hate it and avoided it at all costs then my job required me to use it all the time. Now I love it and hate it. The calendar functions ARE really good, I use shared calendars and meeting requests all the time and get a lot out of them. The rest of it is OK, 2003's default layout sucks but is significantly better than 2000 (even though they aren't really that different, 2003 seems to behave itself better overall and is more customizable). One of the worst parts about Outlook is it's built in search function - it's really slow and unless you used advanced search never seems to find anything, fortunately Google Desktop can index .pst files and comes default with a search plugin for Outlook that works amazingly well. Overall I'd say it's a decent program, supporting users on it kind of sucks though because there are a LOT of different settings and for some reason people feel a lot more comfortable messing around with their email client than they do with any other piece of software, I'm hoping Outlook 2007 or whatever has a "stupid" version that strips out all of the advanced features that hardly anyone ever uses unless you give it an admin password or something first, it would save support staff around the world a lot of time
