Who wants some Call of Pripyat

in a few days o hours Pavel will release a completed mod for the game, I played his mods Complete Stalker and Complete Clear Sky before and is amazing.. here is the trailer..I m pissing on my pants...

I don't know why I'm so captivated by the Stalker games. They are my favorite games ever. It is funny how you either get them or you don't though. I could see how if you are not "hooked" right away with the atmosphere and the desolation that you could put it down after an hour just due to boredom...I'm really excited

stalker:soc complete was just an .exe to run. smart mod manager is an excellent program too.

I picked up Stalker SoC and CoP during the holiday Steam sales. I'm currently playing through SoC with the Complete mod for it and it's great, glad to see this made it out before I got to CoP.

Wow, that looks badass! Amazing lighting in some of those scenes. I've still yet to play any of the games in this series. I own SoC, but haven't ever attempted to really get into it.

I'm the same way, I've started SOC like 3 times now. I am OCD and I feel liek I need to get everything in the game, so I keep starting over thinking I'll do a better job. Problem is I die a lot in that game from exploring, and I really wish the game has better documentation (Steam) on the interface and such. Like all the diferent dots on the map, I have no idea what some of them indicate, and when I try to explore those dots, I just die from anomalies.

I haven't even gotten that far. I believe I installed it once, and went through the first little vault door? Or whatever the first door is you exit, after some sorta shop I think it was. I believe I maybe spent 1 or 2 minutes outdoors, I don't believe I fired a single bullet, or encountered any NPCs. I dumped out of the game for some reason, and just never played it again. I think I didn't wanna start playing without some good mods? I guess that's what it was.

bug fixes, completely revamped graphics, new music, etc..
completely diff experience for me, i hated vanilla stalker but once i loaded up complete, i couldn't stop, i played it non stop for a good 2-3 weeks until i beat it.

you do have to get out of the starter town and do a few missions before it gets really good tho

When the horn sounded, the first thing that came to mind was the movie Silent Hill. Where the horn would sound, then darkness would come.

By the way, exactly what order does the STALKER games run in ? Is Clear Sky the first ? Shadow the second and Pripyat the third ?

Thats how I always thought they were. I do however need to pick up COP. Already have hard copies of the other two.

Chronologically, it goes Clear Sky - Shadow of Chernobyl - Call of Pripyat. In order of release, it's SoC - CS - CoP.

In terms of plot, yes it's Clear Sky -> SoC -> CoP

I don't know if that's the best order to play them in though, I haven't played CS.

Oh this looks sweet. I was about to start playing SOC for the 1st time. Looks like the complete mod will make it a lot better than the stock experience.
