Who will be the next Batman Villain?

Who will be the next batman villain? I think Two-Face would have been the perfect villain for next movie, but they had to kill him 20 minutes after they introduced him. On a side note, why would they do that? Why introduce a famous batman villain and then kill him off by the end of the movie? Didn't it feel like the whole movie was a build up for Two-Face?

I think I would really enjoy seeing a Dark Knight version of Catwoman. As long they don't make her a supporting villain, but more like the comic books where she was the leader of her crime ring. I would also like to see the Penguin. That would be awesome. I'm not sure if anyone can pass up Danny Devitos performance in Batman Returns?

Um, what? Ledger played the Joker.

Catwoman was never a true villain though. She was closer to Batman than anything else. She only stole for the thrill and to finance conservation projects. Catwoman was more of a Robin Hood type character.

And I don't think Cher would make a good choice for Catwoman either, but then again, I didn't think Ledger would be good as the Joker either. Look how that turned out.

The big rumour is the Riddler. It is based on a slip made by Gary Oldemen during an interview when asked about no Joker in the third movie.

The prevailing theory is he is going to presented as a genius criminologist who is brought in to help bring down Batman.

He profiles him almost perfectly, but no one buys it.
He figures out that Batman would get drawn into a mystery
He becomes obsessed with breaking the case and decides to set up the perfect trap... another masked villain/madman for the masked vigilante to bring down...

He takes on the part... causing all sorts of mayhem and destruction and always leaving a little hint that there is some great and horrible plan in the works to try to destroy Gotham.

Batman gets sucked in. The Riddler takes it too far.. you get the idea.

Killer Croc - never did much for me, kind of a big goon
Scarecrow - if done right, could be really really cool
Solomon Grundy - Really a superman villain, meh.
Clayface - I dunno..
Bane - maybe appealing to the marketers given the current steroids issues
Mr. Freeze - maybe too cheezy
Poison Ivy might have some potential
Ventiloquist/scarface - like scarecrow, could be cool. Or very stupid.

Yeah, but the story was centered around Ra's al Ghul. Sorta like the Joker/Two Face thing in the recent movie. Two Face was in it, but it was a Joker story.

Its going to be a non-superpower villain. And will probably continue on the theme of dark psychotic type villains.

It will be Mad Hatter.

He would have been created by Scarecrow while he was held in Arkham. You're going to see a Joker/Harleyquinn relationship unfold briefly, but they won't be the center of the movie. You'll see a brief comeback of Scarecrow, only because Mad Hatter tracks him down for revenge. About midway, Mad Hatter will actually defeat Batman - as he's nearly dead, he is abducted and brought to an underground bunker in an unknown place in the world. And we are introduced to a newly revived Ra's Al Ghul thanks to the Lazarus pit.
