Romney won. He may not have buried Obama as he did in the first debate but his points were damning. That he hammered on the economy made him more on point with what matters.

Crowley should have STFU with her interruptions and let Romney respond to the unfounded statements being made by Obama. She gave Obama 9% more time to speak, even more than the other Obama apologist moderators. At least she said after the debate that she was wrong about what Obama said about Benghazi - she will be remembered for her partisan error.

Obama was definitely more engaged than before, but he came across as less than presidential.

I score it 6-4 in favor of Romney. Look for his small but significant lead to continue until the next debate.

Lol, the denial is strong with this one.

Oh good grief - there's going to be another one???? No!!!!!!!!. Who won tonight? The Tigers. It seems I can only watch debates as long as there's a Yankee playoff game to concentrate on.

I'm still undecided. Not a darned thing happened with this debate to affect my preference in the slightest.

Glad you guys enjoyed it

The moderators need to be more forceful and make them both answer the damn questions....talking points at the end of each question answered. Obama talked about assault rifles...then all of a sudden he's talking about teachers...come on moderators bitch slap both of them to answer the damn questions.

I'm getting tired of hearing Obama attack Romney personally. Who cares who is invested in Chinese markets or who paid what in taxes? We need to know who's policy is going to be better. The fact is Mitt Romney's track record is very good in Mass. Obama's record is pretty damn poor when looking at the numbers.

I think it was a pretty even debate. Obama danced around issues, such as Libya. Mitt Romney was too focused on fact checking everything.

Obama tried to deceive us with the Youtube crap and "spontaneous" riot non-sense and now people are taking his side on the issue. Believe it or not, it is a political issue. A terrorist group attacked our Embassy and the President is claiming he didn't know anything about it for days. I find it fascinating that the general public doesn't seem to care.

For the record:

The Libya incident was an attack on our consulate, not our embassy. They also had security, but obviously not enough. And hindsight is 20/20 - plenty of blame to go around.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programing.

I wouldn't say he purposely deceived but any President should have had his ass in the Situation Room until the facts were known....not continuing about his day flying around doing fund-raisers. American diplomats died...get to the bottom of it and immediately. Obviously it wasn't given the priority it necessitated.

Christ - you must be one of the idiots who were against the president with the manufactured "you didn't build that" controversy.

Of course he was fucking taking about this attack - you're a complete fool and partisan hack if you think otherwise. Context, Context, Context - how many times do we have to beat this grade school drum to get it through your thick skull?
Well, lets look at the context shall we? After this statement Obama and all of his people were talking about a movie for a good week and didn't call it a planned act of terror by terrorists. They push this narrative for a good 7 days after the fact (when they fucking knew exactly what this was). They knew they were lying and if they didn't then they are incompetent. The larger context of the week following that comment suggests where they were NOT calling this a terrorist attack is what is important.

All this will come out next week when they get an hour and half to talk about foreign policy.

So technically Romney was wrong on the exact detail but not in the spirit of what the president and all of his cronies were lying about for a straight week afterwords. It's a "win" on a quibble.

Not only that, but he had Hillary out there blaming it on a Youtube video and even denouncing the video (which is free speech.) They were convinced enough that it was spontaneous to have a representative do a waltz around all the morning talk shows. Now Obama tries to claim he thought it was a terrorist attack from the start and people are backing him up. He said it was an act of "terror", but so is a haunted house. He never said it was a terrorist attack, he specifically said it was a spontaneous riot. Mitt missed a good opportunity.

It was funny watching Obama say: "Candy, candy, candy, I I I I thththink its time for another question."

You have an unrealistic idea of what a president does. Maybe he should fly into Libya when they find the bad guys and personally fire a bazooka too...

He merely only needs people to keep him in the loop as information flows in. And thanks to telecommunications, he can continue doing all the other stuff he needs to do at the same time.

It was especially off-putting when he was asked about Libya. He kept the same demeanor when he was talking about something where 4 people died. During that answer he toned it down just a smidge at the end but he seemed to be stuck in his attack mode for too much of that answer.

Even Biden knew when to shut it down.

Also doesn't bother anybody that Obama is basically following from behind by adopting so much of Joe Biden's mannerisms?

This dude is desperate and it showed. He's toast.

LOL, so a President should go about his day oblivious to what happened? You have an unrealistic idea of what a President should be doing. People on the ground when the incident occurred would have been able to tell you it was a concerted, organized attack....NOT SPONTANEOUS over a video. Takes ONE phone call to someone who was there....he has the resources in the Situation Room to get that information ASAP. Bump heads, get the information....he didn't do it.

I agree, he should have kept on reading "My Pet Goat" to school-children.

Repost from what I said earlier, but Intrade odds on Obama winning 2nd debate go from 70% before debate to 99% after. Gives you a good idea of what happened there tonight.

Yeah they based it off of the CBS poll, CBS released their poll and Obama had the lead. Should be 100%

CBS and CNN polls both give it to Obama.

Looks like the devil people know is the preferred devil indeed.

It was on who won the debate not who they prefer to be president. Same CBS poll has Romney up 31 points on who would handle the economy better. He's toast.

Didn't they also give Romney the win in the debate poll on the economy? After all, we all know:

It's the economy, stupid.

Riiight. And during the Gulf oil spill, when Obama was sequestered in meetings 24/7 trying to find a solution, did conservatards give him praise for that? No, they called him out of touch.

Whatever you think you want the President to do is not what you'd think you'd want the President to do if he did what you thought you wanted him to do.
