yeah it really depends on who is attacking who.

If we were to attack china short of a Nuclear bomb i don't think we would win. But if china were to attempt to attack the US we would inflict such a high casualty rate even BEFORE they landed on US soil.

either way it wouldn't be pretty.

Assuming nukes were not involved, it would likely become a stalemate. They have numbers and we have technology. It would be very hard for either of us to mount a successful invasion on the oppossing sides mainland.

I think that America would win because most of the soilders in China's army are conscripts, and being forced into the military makes someone a poor soilder. I feel it would be like Iraq, where a large portion of the forces would surrender.

If you mean just all of the sudden both sides decided to do everything they possibly could to completely destroy the other one, the USA would probably win. We have enough nukes to take out China in 10 seconds...

But if you mean a REAL war, with the US taking it's little "be your best friend and hold your hand and send you food at the same time we bomb you" strategy that we always take... Who knows.

If China invaded the US, Taiwan would not continue producing microprocessors, and the electronics market would implode, screwing some parts of the economy and limiting production of many things. No microprocessors = no technology.

The whole world would lose, even without nukes.

Could China come up thru Mexico? Aww... why would they need to land on the Atlantic or Pacific? Has anyone watched the movie Red Dawn? In the movie the Soviets come up through Mexico to overtake America.

Or how about through Canada? Could Canada repel a Chinese attack? Once China sets up thier bases in either Mexico or Canada I think we would be in a world of trouble. Then forget it. 1 million plus Chinese soliders would converge on little North Dakota, then Michigan and Oklahoma and then the whole US of A.

I would learn Chinese so I could speak to our new masters.

If China invaded us, and manged to transport and outfit half of their population with cast iron frying pans, we might be screwed. In that case, I'd blame the democrats for restricting my rights to own firearms and firearm accessories.

Anyways, it's moot, because China can't really attack us in the traditional sense. They have no blue water navy, their air force generally consists of a bunch of MiG designs they stole/copied, and what good is their army if they have to cross the pactific? Short of them doing some normandy thing thru California or Mexico, I can hardly see an attack from them that isn't in missile form. They'd be better off attacking one of our allies or Taiwan.

And as far as US goes, we lost a military that could fight a 2-front war a long time ago, let alone against China.

Besides, what good use would it be if the US got invaded, or China got attacked?
