Agreed, I think ATOT is too caught up about "no reposts". I don't spend all my time on here and I don't randomly search for threads on watering holes. I would never have seen this video if it wasn't reposted

Wow really cool video. I was hoping that the buffalos would charge one of the lions into the water to get eaten by the crocs...ahh well. It was a safari, I wonder if there are any higher res photos of that event?

How do you know?

It wouldn't really surprise me though. Puncture wounds usually kill by infection, especially out there.

just from what I have seen on nature shows...I would never claim to be an expert. But its pretty commonplace that even with an injury that you can "get up" from, they still die to just being too weak to move on.

I agree. Out in the wilderness isn't the place you want to get cut, plenty of parasites out there.

It seems like when the buffalo are running away, they're easy prey. But as soon as they stop and think what to do, they're very dangerous.

Actually I was thinking that mom was gonna be the lunch since she was the one in the rear after the charge, but they still went for junior. Definitely wondered why the video kept going after the apperant kill with so much time left, but was a neat view.

Those buffalo were pretty smart about it, though. They knew that those cute little cubs would be eating them one day, so they just killed them on the spot.
