You know that something is even more wrong when, every year there is a report that bottled water is exactly the same as what you get out of your faucet, yet people keep on paying for bottled water.

That's not true. There have been a few reports that have found that bottle water is sometimes worse then tap water.

I don't care about Evian, but some real "mineral water" have a particular taste and are very good. I don't know any originating from North America, though. Some from "Minas Gerais" (general mines, and as the name implies, a region rich in minerals) are something to try.

I hear the water in NY is terrific, the tap water that is. In my neck of the woods, SoFla, it's terrificly yellow depending on where you are, But after running it thru my filter, it's as good as it gets.

Especially with Evian water. Anyone care to guess how they got their name? Evian backwards is Naive. They original makers of it just bottled tap water and made up some story about how it was from a spring by a crystal clear river in Canada or some junk like that. Instantly rich. Then instantly sued. hah.

that is definitely true at least in Syracuse. I have no problems just getting some ice and getting some water from the faucet. However, down here in NoVa, I invested in a Brita and the water just tastes better that way
