Who's been to Costa Rica?

My parents are going there this March, and today my mom asked me if i'd like to tag along with them for the trip.

If you have been there before, can you post your experiences? Also, what are some good sources of information for me to read up on? I hear eco-tourism is big there, so this could be a fun trip.

I was just there in July. It's freaking awesome. Had the best time. Most beautiful place I've ever been to. period.

pick up the lonely planet guide to Costa Rica. It's about 20 bucks from Barnes and Noble, or whatever, definitely a great guide.

i went in june. it was beautiful, though i regret not having enough time to go to the beaches volcanos, rain forests, waterfalls, hot springs... tell your mom you are going right now. it's amazing.

I went a few years ago, probably 4 now, and It was amazing. The Atlantic side is sooo much nicer then the pacific, that and i hope you like rice and beans. I went with a tour group and we had it at like every meal, got boring for someone who lives off of beef like i do. You will have a great time, and see some nasty kool spiders too!
