Roy Williams is a good pick - its too bad that the Heisman doesnt go to the BEST PLAYER IN THE COUNTRY every year like it should.

Dorsey will probably get it since Florida lost on Saturday.

Grossman is the best QB in the country, hands down. But his class (soph) and 2 losses wont help him much.

His stats are much better than Wuerffels 96 heisman season

I agree, he still played amazingly well even under the crazy pressure he was gettin.... Our offensive line crumbled on nearly every play and he still managed to rack up over 300 yards again...

Did anyone see that long pass he made to #17 Reche Caldwell? Wow! That was a beauty! Im gonna see if i can find a vid cap of that.

Yes Aphex, Grossman is extremely accurate.

The country hasnt seen a QB that accurate and that good since 1996.

one thing about Grossman is he's a Sophomore and there's gonna be some bias against him. Also there were a couple of times saturday where under pressure he didn't get rid of it fast enough but refs made poor calls that were in his favor, he's lucky the refs were calling in favor of Florida mostly. Although I'll admit that Grossman was about the only reason that Florida stood a chance against Tennessee, they were just playing alot better, especially on defense. I'd say that it comes down Ken Dorsey, Eric Crouch, and Rex Grossman. Harrington played pretty poorly Saturday, and for Roy Williams, it's hard to get the Heisman as a defensive player. I think it'll go to Ken Dorsey though because Rex is too young, and he's just a bit better than Crouch.

Grossman is the best QB since 96? Are you really saying that Danny Wuerffel was a great QB?

Spurrier is a glorified Sam Wyche..he has a gimmick-laden offense that makes his skill players look much better than they really are...lets look at recent U of F QB's...Wuerffel had the arm strength of my sister, Johnson last year had a good arm and little else....Jesse Palmer anyone? Clearly he has some fantastic athletes at WR, but how many of them have even been good pro's in the last five or six years? ( I am not saying that UF doesn't produce good NFL players mind you )

You give us all kinds of BS about Florida being the only team that can challenge Miami, and how Miami's schedule sucks, and how FSU players are dirty, and that great piece about how Spurrier never even has good recruiting classes (total BS by the way). I understand you are a fan, but at least try to maintain some objectivity? Please?

As far as the Heisman goes, to be honest I don't think any of the big-name guys really deserve it at all this year. Grossman has good numbers, but again, Florida QB's put up numbers like this all the time. Dorsey really hasn't had a great year either....I think Julius Peppers is the best player in the country, and if UNC hadn't slept through their first three games, he may have had a more legit shot at getting it...

I really don't care who wins it anyway, the award is meaningless unless you are an NCAA player!

I never said Miami's SOS was weak.

It's higher than Florida's by 2 spots.

I never said that Spurrier never has a good recruiting class...I said "its not like he has the best recruiting class every single year" Like some people imply.

FSU players are dirty - and their play is dirty too

I'm the first one to 'admit' Florida has built a system. But you cant just put in any good Highschool QB and have him be succesful. Look at :
Eric Kresser, Doug Johnson, Jesse Palmer - and Grossman last year. Now thats just the list since Wuerffel departed.

Those guys couldnt win the big games - Grossman did have one problem this year - Auburn. So he's still not as good as Wuerffel was - he took care of business when it counted.

Talent wise, I do believe that Florida is the only team that can challange Miami -but they dont deserve that this year - you'll see next year when the National Championship defending canes come into the swamp and get 'thrown to the gators' And the year after that when we go to the Orange bowl...well no guarantees there.

Having a 'system' in college football isnt unusual. Ask Oklahoma of the 1980's or the Current Nebraska - or any Nebraska team from the past 40 years. Those are systems - Spurrier has built one that doesnt involve running the ball 70 times and people critisize his Qbs saying that "anyone could pass in that system" Not true - Unless you're a moron - Some people just cant talk college football.
