The coating wears off on mine though. It doesn't seem to like marinated meat, which is often what I cook.
I like to cook salmon, seasoned steaks, marinated steaks, teriyaki chicken thighs, kabob sticks, bell peppers brushed with olive oil, etc.
If the coating is comming off, you are letting your unit overheat. I don't imagine that flakes of teflon are particularly good for you, either. :Q
Teflon is very inert stuff and it will probably go through the GI tract without any problems. But the adhesive that is used to attached the teflon to the grill......
Ouch. Shall I buy a new grill then?
