Definitely anything Eric Clapton.

I'd have to say Zeppelin, too, because it has a lot of blues influence/roots.

Uh, all rock music has blues/r&b influence in it. That's how it came about. Zeppelin is not blues.

Rock solos are generally based in the blues, too.

There are many Zeppelin songs that I would consider blues. The band itself isn't a blues band but they are close.

Saw Buddy Guy in concert in February and he is not only the best guitarist I've seen, but he could work a crowd unbelievably well.

Well it all depends. If I want to get outta them fast I'll listen to Puddle of Mudd or Stained. But if I want to calm down, sit and relax for some reason classical/piano music works for me....lil bit strange eh?

Aw man, now this is MY music

My favorites (grab the MP3's if you can):

Willie Dixon- I Can't Quit You Baby
Buddy Guy- Boogie Chillin' (excellent)
Muddy Waters- I Can't Be Satisfied
BB King- Catfish Blues (this song made me pick up my first guitar)
BB King- Ghetto Woman (probably his best work)
Freddie King- Have You Ever Loved a Woman
Howlin Wolf - Goin' Down Slow (1966 live version) (Best lyric- "I didn't say I was a millionaire- I said I could spend as much MONEY as a millionaire"
Otis Rush - Live In Europe - All Your Love

Just a few of my favs. If you want to play guitar of ANY style (rock, country, folk), listen to these guys. They'll show ya a thing or two.

Damn, and here I thought I'd be the first to mention Buddy Guy.

A LOT of good performers listed so far!
