1 GHz @ 1.43 GHz

43%. Not the BEST % wise, but its a pretty dang good speed. Once I get my h20 cooling gear in, I am going for 1.5-1.6 range.

P2 233@333 (3.5x66) to (5x66).

Don't know how the dang think worked, did it on accident too, Only discovered it when Novell found it as a p2 333, check the bios, a few days later, and low add behold, my matsonic(POS!) had it running at (5x66). The only reason i check is that the cpu temp as hot as hell. No fan too, just a big H/S. I was kinda impressed by it not torching itself.
My guess is either a. that mobo is truely a pos, or b. that chip is somehow unlocked.(got it out of a old Computer City machine)

and that would be 333-233 = 100/233 = 42.9%

EDIT: Must learn to type...

I knew someone who got about a 300-400% increase from their TI86 calculator. It has a Z80 processor at a default 8Mhz, I think. He took it into the 20-30Mhz range.

No, I'm not kidding. There were some mods shown on the internet, let me see if I can dig them up. In fact, in my AP Calculus class last year, many of my classmates were complaining about the slow graphing speeds of their calculators. I suggested overclocking them Battery life bites after the mod though.

Edit:
I found a website that explains the procedure, overclock Z80.

%50 increase with my Celeron - 533 @ 800. Done using a cheap, generic hsf.

Also have a Cleron 300 @ 450 - 50%

Also have a Duron 750 @ 825 (My wife's computer, so the overclocking is conservative!).

Totaling all computers, I have 1583 MHz overclocked to 2075 MHz.

Actually, the z80's in TI 83's are UNDERCLOCKED to conserve battery. All your friend is doing is running it AT spec. So that is NOT an overclock in my book

Tbird 1000@1377MHz (9x153) - 37.7%
K6-III+ 450@550MHz - 22.2%
Celeron 300A@375MHz - 25%
K6-2 350@333MHz - -5% (Crappy motherboard , would otherwise hit 400MHz)

Well... Personally, I ran my Duron 600 @ 1.086Ghz for awhile.

That's an 81% overclock with air cooling.

I have TOUCHED a Celeron 300a @ 608 using a Peltier setup. That's 103%

I have also seen a Celeron 566a run at 1200Mhz. That's 112%. That was a chilled water-cooled 174W peltier stack with like 2.05Volts I think.

As for the liquid nitrogen systems. I think I've seen them pushing Duron 600 systems past 1.3Ghz using insane voltages like 2.4V I dunno. Seems a bit out there to me but I guess it may be possible... but it wouldn't last long. Electron migration at voltage like that would eat the chip up in 2 weeks... hehe but that's 117%

Dunno. I think the Celeron 566 takes it here...

Just saw a P4 running at 2125Mhz listed on this guy's website.
Can't find the site again tho.. grrr

I think it was a 1.7Ghz under a water block...

There's a 1.33Ghz @ 1866 listed on overclockers.com
Not too bad there either, but neither of these will take the cake percentage wise since they're only like 30-40%

*shrug*
still pretty nice to squeeze an extra 500Mhz out of a "top end" chip.
=-)
