Who's NOT playing HL2 today?

I began losing interest around 2002. Far Cry coming out of nowhere and wtfpwning all other games earlier this year cemented it - I'm not going to bother with HL2.

And I tend to like the Tribes games... and UT2k4 (I <3 Vehicles)

yes. But I didnt run into any shit. I pre-loaded earlier and it took me like 10 minutes to unlock. Then I was good to go. And shit, it's awesome.

my game kept crashing, and also i was getting many other non-hl2 related crashes and errors for a few weeks now. it needed a format bad, and hl2 wouldnt even run for more than 5 min. i formatted, but didnt save my cache files, so i have to re-download. of course the servers are bogged up to hell. theres only 400 min left! time for some serious :beer:

It's above the required specs, but we all know what that really means.
I've wanted to upgrade for a while, but all the games I've wanted to play in the past 2 years (MOH, CoD, NOLF2, James Bond:Nightfire, Mafia, Max Payne, BF 1942) have run just fine, so I couldn't really justify spending the money. BF Vietnam could have used a faster system, but since the game wasnt' that good anyway, I didn't bother.

Hmm HL2 could be a bit of a stretch, but you never know. Wait a few days for benches to show up of "older" hardware.

Didn't get it online because for 1, I like having a box and discs. And 2, I had a $20 gift certificate with Amazon so I paid $37 total for it

I played the first, right when it came out. I know I'm going to take crap for what I'm about to say... But I didn't understand why everyone loved it so. I got about halfway through, and found myself too bored to carry on, and other games got my attention.

I'll eventually play HL2, I'm just not in any hurry.

 

I won't be playing it.

I like my old school games.
