Who's NOT playing HL2 today?

I've got EQ2. Playing EQ2 for 15 dollars a month is a lot easier than paying 50 for HL2, 50 for Bloodlines, 50 for Doom 3, etc.

I think some people just try to rush through the game just to say they beat it. I don't get what the point of that is...if you're spending a decent amount of cash on a game, why wouldn't you want to make the most of it and take your time? Hell, I still haven't finished FarCry yet, and I bought it seven months ago probably. I haven't yet started HL2 (probably gonna play HL1:Source first), but I'm sure going to be taking my time on that one too. I'd find it hard to believe that Valve would release a really short game after so many years of development.

I pre-ordered it from CompUSA back in like March (when I pre-ordered BFV). I got it for a good price (around $45). I checked CompUSA's website yesterday morning and I get an error with my order #. So, I called up and wouldn't you know it, they cancelled my order? I spoke with the woman at CompUSA's customer support and she re-instated my order and gave me 2 day shipping for free. Apparently after like 6 months they dropped my order. Well, in 2 days I should have it. Man, I hope it gets here in time for the weekend!

I played the first, right when it came out. I know I'm going to take crap for what I'm about to say... But I didn't understand why everyone loved it so. I got about halfway through, and found myself too bored to carry on, and other games got my attention.

Same here. I first played HL right after Deus EX (the original) and System Shock 2. Too me, those 2 were waaay better. I guess I prefer my FPS with some RPG aspects. Fo pure run-n-gun fraggin, I like the UT series.

Wound up with decent deal on it. $54.99 @ Compusa -$10 off 50 coupon from one of those coupon books your kid sells for school and CUSA has a $10 gift card with it, so basically $34.99+ tax.

I have steam, but i moved the computer to a flat where I'm staying now, no internet connection there..yet. I bought a modem yesterday though and just used a free ISP, updated steam...playing HL2..........
