I am currently using CM10 beta on my HTC Sensation. Everything is super smooth, alongside Trebuchet launcher. Battery life is great whilst being in a totally lag-free environment!

Using TamCore latest ASOP Kernel OC'd to 1.8GHz and I'm still getting a full days battery life

** actually i have a sgs2 i777, not i9100. but they are pretty much the same phone

**update, i must not have thoroughly read the issues on this cm10 preview. there is a memory leak and i have experienced it. for now i've reverted back to gingerbread miui until it has been resolve.

I dual boot CM10 and CM9 on my i9100. ICS is nice, but it can be smoother. My GF's SGS3 seems to run circles around my SGS2. You would think things like scrolling down a list should be smooth on a dual core, but our devices operate more at like 20-30fps while the SGS3 looks 60fps smooth.

I'm hoping the hwcomposer can get resolved on CM10 and we can have smooth Jellybean! It's pretty darn good for a preview though.

I installed a Phandroid port (CM10) on my SGS2. It's definitely nice for how early it is in the dev cycle. I don't really feel like it's faster, just that there's more transition animations into apps and such which mask the jarring feeling of waiting for something to load and it popping right up.

I had previously installed it as a 2nd rom via the Siyah kernal, but I had some reboot issues. When I put it on my primary boot I didn't have these problems.

I ended up going back to a custom ICS rom on my sgs3. I've been trying both for weeks now and CM10 or AOKP JB perform worse in certain areas. I'm guessing the kernel isn't quite there yet, and the custom ICS rom I'm using has google now and the new voice controls added in so I'm just going to stick with that until official JB comes out, plus now I can use the touchwiz camera app which is a lot better than the stock one.

Got around to installing a more mature version of a JB alpha on my TF101. Earlier builds were just force closing apps like mad and the tablet was crashing constantly.

Now though it seems usable, and damn what a difference. Before my SGS3 on ICS was definitively faster than the TF101 on CM9. JB on the tablet about evens the playing field. Homescreen and internet browsing are much more fluid. Even games like Asphalt 6 are so much smoother, and many Gameloft games even show up on the Playstore. Quite impressive.

I'm going to be installing the latest Eclipse JB ROM for my VZW Nexus. Here's hoping it makes my phone function wonderfully.

I'm quite sure Google hired Zohan...

"Soon the whole world will be silky smooth!"

But on a more serious note, Jelly Bean (I REFUSE to abbreviate it as JB because JB implies this one singer dude that I'm not fond of!) has finally brought my Nexus S on par with my iPhone 4.

I'm on Bugless now. The 7-19 nightly. So far so good.
I like stuff as close as stock as I can get. ICS/JB look so good, no need for ROM's that are themed' up.

Any other ROM's that take a no nonsense approach to skins and whatnot?

Paranoid android allows for different ui modes like tablet and phablet, etc. Based off cm10

There's now an official OTA Jelly Bean for the Verizon Nexus.

Flashed the new modem. Not much difference I can see, though it ate a ton of battery to start (updating PRL automatically?).

I just did the same thing this weekend, Helly Bean (8/20 release) on my Captivate. It's like a new phone. I was previously on a custom Froyo ROM that just worked (which is why I stuck with i for so long), but this is so much better.

I was debating getting a new phone. Now I think I'll just save my money a little longer.

And I flashed back to the previous baseband. In NYC the new one was actually getting drops, much worse battery life, and a noticeably longer time to initial data connection after reboot/airplane (subway) mode.

Meanwhile JB leaks are out for the two current Samsung tablets (7" v2 and Note 10.1).

Have any of you had odd battery life issues since putting Jellybean on?

On my G Nexus yesterday, my battery went from around 100% at 10am to dead by around 4pm, without heavy usage at all. My battery usage is as follows:

I'm really at a loss, because once in a while the phone (even while in standby) warms up as if I'm playing a game, and stays that way - the battery will drop 20% or something absurd - yesterday towards the end of the battery life it dropped 10% in about 2 minutes of walking. Is my battery screwed? I don't have many apps at the moment and wonder if a rogue process is at play here.

Use something like Better Battery Stats to find out exactly what is keeping the phone from sleeping, referred to as a wakelock.

I finally installed ParanoidAndroid JB for the Skyrocket last week. Got a scare when I got off the plane on Thursday and had no data coming out of airplane mode - luckily I didn't panic and checked the APN when I got to my hotel, and boom, instant data.

Now GPS, on the other hand...still has issues. There's a supposed aGPS fix but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
