Who's TCCD is recommended for stability and OC-ing?

I've heard that OCZ's Plat. Rev. 2 parts no longer use TCCD chips. Disappointing as the Samsung TCCD chips seem to be some quality chips.

Anywho, now that OCZ is no longer an option on an upcoming A64 3800+ 'Venice' and ASUS A8N-E board, which maker would you recommend for the best PC3200 DDR 400 2-2-2-5 RAM? Patriot's XBLK's? Mushkin's High Performance (991357)? What about the Corsair XL's?

I'll be doing some mild overclocking, not right off the bat though, so for now, I'll be happy with speedy stuff with tight timings right outta the package.

I think I'm torn between either the Patriot or the Mushkin, but am not sure how to actually tell if a certain model is TCCD.

edit-btw i heard alot of good about the mushkis

edit edit- i have the rev 2, not sure if its tccd or tcc5 like they are mixing now but it does clock like hell. ocz claims the tcc5 is just as fast and is binned the same, i dunno. most of the hub bub is by people who who bought the rev 2 assuming its tccd.

Thanks for the responses, guys. Yeah, I find it hard to believe that OCZ would ditch the TCCD in favor of something "inferior". My question is, why would they opt to use something else, though? I'm sure it has everything to do with cost and availability. Technically, shouldn't these new OCZ sticks be labeled as "Revision 3"?

And does anyone know if the Patriot 3200 XBLK sticks would be compatible on the ASUS A8N-E? I can't seem to locate the list of compatible memory for this board on their site.

If someone were to tell me that the newer OCZ Plat 2's were just as fast, stable and OC-able as the TCCD-based sticks, then I'd just shut it and buy 'em. I just get a little skiddish when a manufacturer does a switcharoo and "ensures me it's just as good if not better!" Uhh........then why'd you fix it if it wasn't broken?

well, it does come down to availability as tccd is discontinued. and i suppose price as the remaining tccd they are getting i guess is going into the pc-4200 or one of the higher speeds.

i have the same beef tho, they should call it rev3 but the fact remains, they never advertised it as tccd, just 2-2-2-5. but ocz obviously knows everyone thought they're getting tccd when they bought it.
