I don't know if most people would consider Mike Morhaime famous (one of the founders of Blizzard Entertainment), but I figure these are computer boards and someone knows him. I've been to his house twice for wine tastings and he is a really cool guy. I also helped him out with a networking problem at his house so I have his personal cell phone number.

I don't know if he'd know me right away, but Jeff Arnold (the guy who created WebMD) used to live 2 doors down from me, and his mother still lives there. I think he'd remember me, but I'd have to remind him. And whereas I don't have his number, I might be able to get it from his mother. If nothing else odds are I'll see him at her funeral when she dies ..... assuming I go, as I didn't go to his father's funeral a few years ago.

Haha, unfortunately I don't play WOW otherwise I'd have asked him to make me a Lord Sauron type character that was like 30X bigger than the other characters and could brush aside entire armies with my hand.

I introduced my coworker who plays WOW to him one time since we bumped into each other and he was awestruck. I work in the building next door to Blizzard Headquarters and we take daily walks to get some fresh air so eventually its inevitable that I'll run into him again.

Sir Mix-A-Lot lives close to my house...
my brother has ran into him and talked to him on a few occasions...

Jackie & Bender from KISS 106.1 would remember meeting me if they saw me....though I met them separately at different times.
I have text message conversations with Tyler from the afternoon show on KISS all the time.
I know they are only local pseudo-celebrities, but it's cool in a six-degrees sort of way. They've met so many singers, bands, etc..

johnny benson used to run at our local track and help us out with our late model car. parents know the devos family down in Grand rapids MI.
Alan Parsons, P.J. Olson, from a show i stage managed. Dennis Kerwin, a regular on knots landing and gest star in other shows of that era. I guess non of these people are real famous except for alan parsons.

Lisa Ling, sort of.

She was on The View, but also did some work for National Geographic, and that's what she was giving a lecture about today at my college. I did get to talk to her briefly before she started, just some stuff about her presentation format so I knew what to expect concerning filming and getting a video started for her.
But hey, she knows my first name now, and might actually remember it for......another 10 minutes perhaps.

In the 70's and 80's I met a lot of people from having backstage passes. That's about all I will say on a pubic forum.

No one of note.

I am pretty famous in my own little world as one of the most respected people in my industry.

We figured it out one day if I changed my cell phone number over 100 people would need to change their speed dial

Tyronn Lue, PG for the Hawks grew up where I live. I remember how big of a deal it was to our town (small town, about 12k) when he got drafted by the Lakers. Every now and then he comes back and hits up the YMCA or the park in the hood (yes, you can have a hood in a town of 12k) and everyone goes to watch.
