T-Mo

Two lines with unlimited talk and text, one with 5GB of data (plus hotspot) and the other with 3GB.

$86/month, but that includes $10/month for my mom's Samsung Galaxy Light. So really $76 month.

It includes roll over data, but my largest data usage is streaming music, which doesn't count so I never get anywhere near my 5GB limit as I'm usually on WiFi at work and home.

$154 with AT&T for 2 lines. I have about 10 days left on the contract. After that I'm switching to Cricket for their 5 lines for $100 group plan.

My cell is only used for traveling, primarily to provide a hotspot for my laptop. My plan is with Verizon, UL Talk & Txt, 1 GB data: $74.95/mo. That breaks down as follows:

Account Monthly Charges: $30.00
Smartphone Line Access: $40.00
Taxes and surcharges: $ 4.95

Activate your existing phone on Page Plus, they use the VZW network so the coverage is the same as you have now. They have a $29 plan that gives you 1gb data, with tax you're around $33 a month.

well done sir

I just looked over my plan, how are you at $185? each line is $20 per add a line.

Its only $10 per line.
Its $80 for the first 2 lines, 8 more lines of $80 = $160+discount+taxes.
I was still able to keep my 15% discount so $185 is actually a lot of taxes added on considering its $160 -discount + taxes.

- It all started when the HD2 came out for T-mobile. Me and a friend decided to go in together.
- Then I convinced my brother and his wife to join our plan.
- Got married and added my wife on. Thats 5 now.
- Then T-mobile allowed to get 10 lines so I convinced my 1 sister with 3 lines from Sprint to join me. 8 lines total.
- Finally got my other sister and my sister-in-law to join for 10 total.

$30- my friend.
$60- brother and wife.
$30- sister.
$30- sister-in-law.
$40- other sister(she wanted to pay extra for my mom).
$25- Mom's friend.
$FREE- Mom.

Thats $215 monthly. They all pay me 6 months in advance.
Before anyone wants to say I'm taking advantage of them, they all were paying considerably more on their own. Before my friend and I who started together paid me $50 each month. I lowered it to $30 for him. In fact they all paid me more until T-mobile allowed 10 lines/plan which then I made it $30 for each line.

I'll need to recruit 4 more people for my plan .

Mine is 6 lines @ 120 + 10 for family international mobile and landline + taxes/fees etc..
I lost my discount so paying full price.

TMo. Good price. Love the unlimited music streaming, the coverage is acceptable /w the WiFi calling and their coverage for chicago area is great, only travelling can be a small issue.

Love the wifi calling and free hotspot also. We stayed in a cabin up by Yosemite that happened to have wifi, and it was great being able to make and receive calls on my phone even though there was zero cell signal.

The coverage isn't amazing everywhere, but it's good for 99% of the places I go. The free overseas texting and data is great too.

Harbor mobile $30 plan.
Looks like they are migrating from T-mobile to AT&T soon, so we'll see how that plays out...

Sprint, 4 lines, 1500 minutes, unlimited data, unlimited texts, about $210 per month, so $52 per month per phone.

I could probably get by with a smaller plan but I don't want to have to buy a phone on a different provider.

Shrug. It's your family so I dunno what your family dynamics are like but personally, I would charge family members cost only and not make a profit off them.

You all can laugh at my antiquated Verizon plan:

1400 minutes, UL text

1. UL data
2. UL data
3. 2GB data
4. 2GB data
5. Flip phone

15% discount works out to about $250 a month.

Currently T-Mo, about ~$95/month, two lines with 1 GB each.

About to switch to Ting. Our usage for this month would have only been $32 (total!) with them.

Republic Wireless

Data buckets, unlimited talk + text, AT&T 4G & roaming on Verizon

Currently living in an area with poor reception, but that will change soon. In the mean time, I'm on the $5 per month plan with (unlimited) WiFi talk and text, since paying for the cell towers is near pointless. After moving, I'm planning to move to the data refund plan, where you can buy buckets, and any unused data at the end of the month is refunded to your account. It's $10 + $7.50 for each 500MB, but I'm usually well under 500MB since I'm around WiFI 90% of the time, and have music on a flash drive in my car, so it's effectively a $12-13 plan with the option of using as much data as I need.

Verizon.
Single line.
450 minutes. (I use maybe 5 minutes out-of-network a month)
1000 texts.
Unlimited data (grandfathered).
$70 a month. Slowly creeping up to $71 each month for unknown BS reasons.

That's with a 25% discount from work, too. If I wouldn't lose the unlimited data, I'd cancel it in a heartbeat.

Bill this month was 100.79. 15GB with rollover shared between two phones (wife & I). This is through AT&T. I get a discount (I believe 23% on primary phone plan) through work, so that is why it is cheaper than plans advertised.

RingPlus Diversity plan. 300 minutes, 500 SMS and 300MB of data. Cost: $0

The great thing about Ringplus is that you can basically buy whatever plan you want. Do you text a LOT but talk little and use mostly wifi? Then you can buy a $8 addon that gives you 5000 texts.
