I have looking into high end platform s and looks like multiple Intel X299 based MB can be found under $200. That pretty great price considering somehow AMD TR4 MB starts at $300+.
Usually with AMD system the MB platform cost is lot lower than Intel. Is AMD intentionally keeping the prices high to position as a better platform than Intel?
For Intel 7820X + AsRock/EVGA MB its about $640.
AMD 1900X + Asus MB is $620, the CPU is cheaper however MB drives up the combo price. Also, this combo definitely slower than the Intel Combo.
An more compare multithreaded AMD combo would be a 1920x + Asus MB for $786.
Honestly, don't know why AMD or MB company didn't consider the low end HEDT pricing would be lot worse than Intel...
