Why are Europeans so offended by US patriotism?

You are a guest taking advantage of our system and not someone that will immigrate. Folks that are willing to immigrate get all kinds of breaks that citizens do not.

hmm ... have you ever been an immigrant ? ... I've been, and it's fscking hard to immigrate here (maybe for ppl. from south america it's much easier, don't know) ... but for us it was pain in a *ss ... wait like 7 years or more just to get approoved, you come here and they give almost nothing ... it's really sucks

Ok, I went to the Olympic Training Center here in Colorado Springs today and after I took the tour there I walked around for a while. Right before I was leaving some guy was asking me what is worth seeing there and after I told him, he asked me where I come from (yeah, my nice accent). I told him "Germany" and then he started to talk really loud "You can never beat us. You can never beat us. We are the best. You can never beat us." I was just thinking WTF is wrong with him. His wife already started to pull him away from me when I told him who actually got the most medals in the last Olympic Games, which made him kind of angry. He just shouted that "Winter Games do not count!" and then his wife finally got him out of there.

Now if I were just a tourist here I really would be concerned and would never come back here. Good that I know many really nice people here in the U.S. as well.
