An online retailer has sparked a backlash after using images of a slim model to advertise plus-size clothing by fitting her entire body into one leg.
International site AliExpress has pictured the model wedged inside just one just one full-stretched trouser leg to advertise size 3XL and 5XL leggings.

First off, this is hilarious. Like, had to step out of the office hilarious.

Secondly, isn't this a wakeup call for a lot of American's? I mean, how do we have a fatty problem and China doesn't? At least I think it doesn't. Wouldn't this embarass you to the point of like: "Okay, I'm going to get serious about my weight because this is ridiculous."

I get being 20, 30, hell even 50lbs overweight. This is a first world country and by George I do love ice cream, but cmon now. These people should only be angry at themselves, not this company. Thoughts?

I actually agree with you on this. These people don't wake up one day weighing 200lbs more than they did the day before. When your ass doesn't fit on the can, you should probably stop eating. The problem is all the shit that these food chains are coming up with (ex: pizza with pretzel crust stuffed with cheez whip topped with meat lovers ingredients, quadruple cheese stuffed hamburgers with fried onions and veggies between a bbq stuffed bun, etc.) are what these people are eating because it's easy and CHEAP. It's cheaper to eat like that than any other way. This is especially true when it takes an entire pizza to fill someone up. It just spirals out of control from there.

But I don't know when you're that size you can either 1) call up and order a pizza for $20 2) buy ???? heads of lettuce, put work into making a salad, and still be hungry at the end. When someone is that large, they are typically lazy too. Why would they put work into making something slightly healthier when they are lazy and will be hungry afterwards anyway? The bang-for-your-buck vs hunger is hard to satisfy.

It's not cheaper. Eating at McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Burger King every day gets expensive. I can buy five 8lb chicken breast for $8 That's 5 dinners. Add brown rice, black beans, and steamed asparagus you have a meal that's much cheaper than any fast food place. Plus, it's healthy.

IMO, the problem is most people are just lazy. I have my meals ready to go so I don't have to prep much. I like to cook what I need on Sunday, and I have my meals prepared for the upcoming week. It's easy to do.

IMO, the problem is most people are just lazy. I have my meals ready to go so I don't have to prep much. I like to cook what I need on Sunday, and I have my meals prepared for the upcoming week. It's easy to do.

yeah my wife and i are like that during the week. we go grocery shopping sunday or monday, and we'll get like 4lbs of chicken breasts ($12) and 3-4 lbs of pork chops ($8 or so). we'll toss them into some marinade ($3 for bottle) and then every night just toss 2 of them on the grill.

meanwhile, i'll throw 2cups of brown rice into a rice ($8 for a bag that has probably 10 or so cups) cooker and cook that for about an hour, and that lasts us 3-4 nights as well. my wife will sometimes make zuchinni or asparagus to go along with it too.

the chicken/pork + rice probably costs us about $4/meal or so if i had to just ballpark.

weekends though is when we kinda eat whatever we want and will eat out.
