I was thankful that starbucks was open today. 5:30am - 10pm according to the sign on the door. anyone up in arms for them?
Honestly this was probably the smoothest I have seen black friday. Atleast from my personal experiance. I was in and out of three stores within 2 hours. Got everything I was looking for and made someones night/xmas.
And if you were closed that day and they knew it they would get the movies the day before and you could have enjoyed a national holiday like the rest of us.

when retail workers work holidays, do they get extra holiday pay? if they do id think theyd have people volunteering to work

We all know what we get into when we apply for a job.
You work retail? Congrats, you are going to work part-time hours on random days until you get seniority.
You work as a waiter/bartender/chef? Congrats, you are going to work every Friday/Saturday/New Years Eve/etc if you want to make money
I don't understand this new coddling of entry level workers.
