That is absolutely wrong. Every single day I speak to a person who lives in an area where the Post Office doesn't delivery. They have to drive to pick up their daily mail at a PO BOX.

The customers tell me, "the Post Office doesn't delivery here." In 3 years, I've had maybe literally maybe one or two people say FedEx didn't delivery and those were to weird places like inside large universities or park systems.

You are absolutely 100% incorrect, that is a fact. I deal with this every single day.

R E A D. I said "service" every address. USPS does, by law. FEDEX doesn't.

Just curious, have you owned one before? Personally, I could never give my smartphone. Its simply too convenient.

Nope. Never had a need to get one or a desire to pay more per month for my cell phone. Plus, I'm almost always near a computer, so it would be pretty redundant to have a smartphone.

"Service" is a definable term. Do you consider having to drive 20 miles to get your mail being "serviced."

If you went out to eat and had to cook the food yourself, would you consider that "service"?

So, if you've never owned one, how do you justify calling them over-rated and not worth the cost?

Like many who've already posted, I've got the 25 dollar plan from Virgin Mobile. Works just fine because I hate talking on the phone and never use up the 300 minutes.

Boost with the shrinkage plan is the best deal going. You get the Sprint network, and every 6 on time payments your bill drops $5 a month for 18 months. After 18 months you'll get unlimited everything for $35 a month.

You're claiming that just because I never owned one, I can't judge what they are worth? That's pretty ridiculous.

You may not believe them to be worth the cost, but that doesn't hold true for everyone. Obviously, all those people you see with smart phones, disagree with you.

There's some guy at my work like you. He's near a computer 99% of his life and doesn't need a smartphone at all. If you never go outside then of course you don't need a smartphone. I'd just hate to live that life.

Or their parents are paying for their phones, so they don't know the actual costs.

That's not the case. I just don't need to be wired 24/7. I don't need 24hr access to my e-mail, the ability to look up random tidbits where-ever I happen to be, etc...

PagePlus is awesome. Currently have a $50 Palm Pixi+ and spend about $150 a year on the standard plan. Does everything I need, wifi, email, mp3, etc.

+1. wifey and me both are on the $80 2000 min standard plan. went from paying $75/month to about $20/month and upgrading our phones to be wifi capable.
