Actually, what you said was this: "My statement is accurate based on the facts. Refute if you can."

The words "accurate" and "refute" imply statements of fact. You're now saying "opinions based on fact", which is, well, your opinion.

I call their politics corrupt.

And I celebrate your right to do so. But it is just your opinion, exactly the same way that many here call unions "corrupt" and can back up that claim at least as well.

I'd say things like trying to get power for agendas like that, which lack public support, through means from having candidates hide them in campaigns to supporting the disenfranchisement of voters who disagree with them, as is being done as a national Republican effort like hasn't been seen since the civil rights movement, to spending large sums to 'buy elections' and much more, is 'corrupt'. A fact based opinion.
