Waffle weave Henley's from Old Navy are a pretty decent shirt. I picked up one the other day, I'm pretty happy with it.

Land's End / landsend.com has great T's, at least they did last time I ordered some. The Drifter cotton sweaters are nice too.

They have 25-30% off sales frequently so sign up for emails wait then for a sale.

Because we continue to expect quality for ridiculous prices then turn around on the back end and complain when our retirement funds aren't performing well.

You can buy straight from Hanes and get any kind you want. They sell Beefy Ts (heavy) to Nano (fairly light). JiffyShirts.com also has good color selection and low prices, but not as extensive of a selection as Hanes's site. They carry other brands though, and have a lot of reviews on the products.

Finding a good heavy weight t-shirt, or any men's article of clothing, is pretty impossible. I've purchased the Hanes Beefy T's and Russells. The problem is that the ends of the sleeves and bottom of the shirt curl up after washing and drying. They are not smooth to boot. (and yes, I don't like to iron.) Carhart? Their sweatshirts have a stupid looking logo near or on the front pocket. Don't know about the T's, but I suspect they do. My 15 year old T's are either tearing or have holes. Buying cheap and thin seems to be the only option.

Why are t-shirts and longsleeves so flimsy lately? Where to find heavier quality?

I've ordered a couple of different longsleeve tees from Amazon and all are rather thin flimsy quality. I find wearing a sweater too constricting when doing certain work, but a longsleeve tee that's to flimsy won't keep me warm.

Anbody know where to find good quality, heavier 100% cotton longsleeve tees with a roundneck? They also need to be long enough as I'm 6'3" tall and normally where size Medium or Large.

I live in Belgium so preferably a shop that can also ship internationally. Amazon would be easiest.

Thanks in advance for all good suggestions.

Foundry = in Big & Tall section in JC Penny online

Sun River = in Goody's online

Carhartt = in Tractor Supply online

You're welcome and be Vigilant there in Belgium

I haven't found that to be the case. A 6.3 oz t-shirt is the same weight and quality as it was 30 years ago.

For a good deal and huge selection, try http://www.cheapestees.com. Most of the shirt companies - Gildan, Jerzees, Hanes, Anvil, Champion, etc. - offers t's in different weights. Buy their heaviest, if that's what you're after. Try one or two from each company and choose the one you like best. There are small differences in fit and material for each one. Some are softer, some harder finish, different cuts in the neck and arms, etc.

It's a company that I imagine sells a lot to screen printers, but they'll sell individual shirts. I usually put in an order for eight or more at a time and get free shipping. They recently sent me a promo email with a 20% off code: B20X, but it ends the 13th so may have just expired.
