Why are there no system restore points on my computer?

I was looking into restoring my computer to an earlier time but after looking in system restore there were no restore points saved.

How do get and keep system restore points with Vista Home Premium?

No, the check mark is in the box next to my C drive.

Just no restore points.

In a dual-boot setup with XP, the XP System Restore will erase the Restore Points created in Vista.

I've tried to make the Vista drive "off-line", and to "hide" it in XP. but nothing seems to work.

As soon as I boot back to XP, my Vista Restore Points are erased.

Create a Restore Point in Vista manually and see if that works.

That's a pretty serious incompatibility with dual-boot setups. It has been duly noted!
