I asked a MAGAT friend of mine in what way was he directly affected by the "immigrant crisis". It drew a blank look on his face and me picturing the pertinent FOX talking points he was checking off in his head. The reason Fox and Friends had wadded panties was because ENCOUNTERS at the border were surging. That’s because asylum seekers were actually doing what was asked and registering at a checkpoint vs. crossing the border illegally and disappearing into the night. The biggest problem was that they couldn’t expedite these asylum hearings, nor could they legally detain asylum seekers past 60 days or something, and they couldn’t deny entry based on Title 42 anymore. So you had this revolving door effect and no remain in Mexico policy.
