And I think just the opposite is more true around here than the OPs title is.

A recent case in point where a white reporter dared to question a black Dallas County Health Department supervisor:

Meanwhile, local NBC news here hires more black reporters that even host their news and weather than all the other local stations combined. And it's usually the station I happen to watch. So racism at this station is definitely not found. And Director Zach Thompson at this news conference just happened to have Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price standing right next to him, the most notorious race baiter in Dallas, bar none. But by all means, let's turn any possible investigation by the news about possible misappropriations by the city into a demeaning fight about racism, right?

You're missing the point that the OP's premise is just wrong. There are obviously some racists in the United States. The fact that we make a big deal out of it actually makes us less racist than these other countries that don't even start to address it (most of Europe and Asia).

I even voted for Reagan twice long ago.

I voted for Obama twice.

I didn't want Palin, or Mitt Romney and company in charge of anything myself personally.

Well, I was going to mention the French and Algerians...but I didn't want to go there.

As for Northern and Eastern Europe, I'm thinking more Scandinavia and places like the Ukraine, where you have 0.3% of the population that isn't white, and whenever a person of color shows up, they tend to be put on the news as the "Reason why the country is falling apart."


...yeah, this speaks to me of a populace that is several decades behind.

Probably lesser percentage wise compared to there, we still have a lot of people with the same thinking here in America as well.

Respected businessman was killed by the black dishwasher and his friends that tried to rob him. Chicago had 16 gun deaths and 47 injured over the July 4th weekend (all black). Random other murders, attacks, thefts - all by black people.

I understand this is just modern journalism. The average white person sees nothing but black people killing, stealing, raping, and destroying.

How is someone white, who does not have black friends, supposed to not fall into the role of a racist, when every single news story is about some black person killing, raping, stealing, or otherwise just 'being real', backed up by popular rap music?

Even a local government's officials son was arrested for hitting another man with a hammer to his head... guess his race.

Are white people supposed to somehow overlook all the daily news of black crimes? Granted the news is to blame for delivering a one-sided view, but the average person only reacts to what they see, not what is true, and the news is in love with telling us what atrocity has been committed by black people, every day.
