PLUS, I'm married to a great cook, and fabluous baker, so we tend to eat well. (not always healthy foods, but well) When I had my knee surgery 02/04, I've porked up about 50 lbs...and now resemble Jabba the Hut...Hmm, Boomer the Hut?
I keep fighting with my disability insurance company to get me into a gym or physical therapy, and it's been recommended by my doctors and their doctors, but they keep dragging their feet on it...

I'm lazy and I like to eat tasty food. Tasty not necessarily meaning greasy and calorie laden-- just not really healthy food.
I can get into an exercise routine for awhile, but I always end up falling out of it for a few weeks. I need to start doing things that I don't mind doing daily again.
But meh, I'm pretty happy with myself as I am. I wouldn't mind losing 20 pounds, but I think as long as I don't gain an extra 15 pounds, I'm pretty happy with where I am.
This is probably the most recent picture I have of myself.

I'm not "fat" but at 6'1" 220 I could stand to loose 10-15lbs.
One word.
Beer.
It doesn't really matter because girls still find me attractive but it would be nice to walk around with no shirt at the beach in the summer with pride.

I think I'm gonna aim as my first goal to start drinking only diet sodas when I drink sodas and also try to drink water often.
Next goal is to get myself up at least 30 minutes early each morning and go running.
Next goal is to learn to cook so I can stop eating fast food so often since I get tired of those healthy choice style foods.

running every day = not very good (impact exercise)
diet sodas = bad (the splenda/etc checmical)
strength training = the best way! fruit smoothies with protein = even better.
get the book in my top post, man
Why would you want to drink that crap though? There are better sources of caffeine and better stimulants to boot. Even if they were completey safe I wouldn't drink diet drinks because they taste like ass.Originally posted by: rnp614
Splenda and other fake sugars are not BAD for you. They only are shown to cause problems when one does not eat any carbs at all...in those cases thats when the body goes into hyper-storage mode and you store any bit of sugar you can. Diet soda is a great way to drop a few LBs. Its DEFINITELY better for you than regular.
