Because meat is tasty. Also, if you're not a vegetarian you can eat both, but if you are you can only eat veggies.

Because humans are omnivore's and were born with the genetic make-up of an omnivore. For the human body to properly function, it must have chemicals found in plants and animals, however we can 'survive' as a vegetarian through all the knowledge gained through science to create alternative supplements at eat a balanced diet.

Oh, and meat is too good.

because I lost a ton of weight and lowered my blood pressure on a doctor-supervised diet that cuts out most carbs, and the one time I *did* try to be a vegetarian, I gained a ton of weight because all I was eating were PB&J sandwiches and candy.
