just want to put an end to this. this deal has been on and off for the last 3 monthes now. i jumped on this in november last year when i first saw this at the same price w/ the rebate. they are khx3200ak2/1gr. i can confirm they are not good for overclocking, but they can do 410mhz on stock voltage @ 2-3-2-6-1t. no matter how much i increased the voltage (yes, i tried the ddr booster, too) and how much i relaxed the timing, they wouldn't go over 424hmz. so i ended up just running them @ 410mhz because there's no reason to run them on high voltage and super relaxed timing just to get a few more hmz. i have an a64 3000+ winnie paired w/ a gigabyte 939-ultra motherboard. so i can't speak for intel setups.

anyway, for $140, it's great deal. the value stuff costs just as much if not more. Even if i don't get the rebate, the $20 was still well spent on the cool blue ddr heat spreader.

So the AK2 chips are newer chips that don't overclock as well as K2?

I just installed a KHX3200AK2/1GR kit in my machine. The specs fo the machine are:

P4 2.0A@ 2.66
Asus P4P800 SE
2x 512 KHX3200A

The kingston site says that these are 2-3-2-6-1 (the UL version is rated at 2-2-2-5-1).

CPU-Z rates the modules at 166 2-3-3-7 and 200 2.5-3-3-8
Sandra mainboard test states: PC3200U-2533-600 (CL2.5 up to 200MHz) (CL2 up to 167MHz)

I am having difficulty setting these at 2-3-2-6 at 166, but that could easily me the equipment or my setting.

I would be happy with 2-3-2 @ 200 Mhz to match my soon to arrive P4 3.2, as these only cost $160.
It would seem to me that I sould be getting better setting at 166 Mhz.

Have the non-UL version from the outpost deal running at 238MHz @ 2.8 V w/a 1:1. I have been running for about a month with a 3000+ ClawH on a soltek socket 754 board. This was my first build and I am not that savy around computers but it works for me!...G

What settings are you using? I got them to run memtest at 2-3-3-6 @ 200Mhz for seven hours hours with no problems.

I am using this kit and it runs fine at cas 2 at 200mhz. Give it a small voltage bump. This is great OC ram

I am not calling anyone anything. Though, I you are speaking about some of the replies, I agree with you. Some people were getting uncivil.

I am trying to figure out if I got a bad stick. I think is $160 for 2-3-2-6 is ok ( unless ram prices take a dive ).
I have had one very good test run at 2-3-3-6, but when I set the mem at 2-3-2, the MB quit.

Other people seem to be having better luck, but isn't that the way it always is.
