Why can't we directly post pics in our posts?

is bandwidth consumption the issue?
or does fusetalk not have this option?

i'm leaning towards the bandwidth reason...

I would think bandwidth and of course possible abuse (people posting huge/copyrighted/offensive pictures).

I would guess abuse too, along with broken links and sometimes a generally hideous appearance.

Speaking of which, for some reason I thought when a thread was moved it informed the creator (and possibly the participants as well?) automatically? Was that ever the case or am I mistaken?

Maybe some nice mod personally typed out such a notice for me one time and it gave me the wrong impression

With 60,000 members (I think anyways) and at least 1000 visiting at any time, it's probably not going to take a while for a &quot;babe&quot; thread to get out of hand, or have many pics floating around that aren't appropriate, and make browsing hell for 56k'ers.

Yes, images can be enabled here, but they aren't. Good reason not to enable them either.

most i've seen is around 600.
avg about 500.

500-600 logged in as members with hundreds more as guests.

psteng19, 600? heheh wrong. That is people LOGGED IN with the cookie. There are 1500-3000 on the forums at any given time, remember 75% at least don't log in.

images are cool, but leaving them out keeps things clean. I personally don't care what I'm exposed to, I just think that there are a lot of people who would abuse the image posting option.
