Well, by the same logic, everyone should have a full tower instead of a smaller form factor - mid-size, compact, etc. It could even apply to cars - shouldn't everyone then just get an 18 wheeler? To some, size just does not matter, and its all about quality. To others, they care. With a laptop, I would have no problem lugging around a 15 pound Sager if it had all the features I could ask for. Then again, I may not be carrying very much with me anyway (or I just wouldn't complain, because I would know that as soon as I put down my laptop that I could do whatever I wanted to do). For those carrying a 2.5 pound notebook, and a briefcase full of clutter, and a phone, and a pda, and a wallet, blah blah, it just does not become very convenient. Its just a matter of preference like so many other things. ANd just looking at the number of people who opt for "thin and light" notebooks, you can see that if available, people will most definitely opt for it.
